‘The Silence of the Lambs’ Sequel TV Series ‘Clarice’ Debuts Its New Trailer
Even if American football isn’t your thing, the Super Bowl is an important calendar event where some of the most anticipated trailers and TV spots are debuted to the world. 2021 was no exception, with new trailers for M. Night Shyamalan’s rapid-ageing thriller Old, plus Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and the long-teased sequel Coming 2 America. But perhaps most excitingly, sports and trailer fans were treated to the new TV spot for Clarice, CBS’s sequel series to The Silence of the Lambs, which follows the titular Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) a year after her run-in with Buffalo Bill and Hannibal Lecter. The new trailer makes it abundantly clear that even 30 years after the original film’s release, the lambs have not stopped screaming for Clarice.
Clarice will be brought to the small screen by MGM Television and CBS Studios in association with executive-producer Alex Kurtzman’s production company Secret Hideout. The show will take place in 1993, one year after the events of Silence of the Lambs, and will follow Clarice as she returns to her work in the FBI pursuing serial killers, sexual predators, and the cut-throat world of Washington D.C. politics. Rebecca Breeds will be joined by Kal Penn, Michael Cudlitz, Nick Sandow, Lucca De Oliveira, and many more for an all-star cast of characters from Clarice’s past and present.
Clarice will hit screens and CBS All Access on February 11th, although there has been no announcement of a UK premiere date. Check out the new trailer below.
