‘The Quotable Negan’ Pays Homage to Your Favourite ‘Walking Dead’ Villain
Negan is arguably The Walking Dead’s most infamous villain, so his fans will be pleased to discover his most cruel and hilarious one-liners are being paid homage to in an extremely quotable book.
Since debuting in The Walking Dead comic series and popular AMC television show, the bat-wielding bad guy has quickly become a fan favourite for his rough demeanour, dark satire and constant obscenities.
Played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Negan is the leader of a group of nearly 500 survivors in a place called the “Sanctuary”. Dubbed the “Saviours”, the party subjugates other survivors and forces them to pay tribute to him.
Brandishing the beautiful barb-wired “Lucille”, Negan is renowned for causing regular chaos. He is now being celebrated in the release of Robert Kirkman’s The Quotable Negan.
Kirkman said in a statement:
“Seeing all the vulgar and irreverent things that Negan says compiled into one book is simultaneously hilarious and disturbing … But even with all the awful stuff he’s said and done, there are some unexpected nuggets of wisdom and humanity in there, making him a surprisingly complex character. My only hope is that fans have just as much fun reading him as I have writing him!”
The Quotable Negan will be released July 3rd 2018, so the timing couldn’t be better, as AMC’s smash-hit series will also conclude its gripping eighth season.
