Strong Showing for Horror at MTV Movie & TV Awards


The horror genre continues to represent at movie awards, with IT and Stranger Things being nominated for Best Movie and Best Show respectively at this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. The CW’s haunting and brooding Riverdale also makes an appearances, thanks to the stellar acting of Madelaine Petsch. The full list of nominations can be seen below.

We’re not entirely surprised to see that MTV have shortlisted these productions; horror did have a strong presence at the Academy Awards after all. Still, it’s nice to see them up there; you could be forgiven for thinking that it was just going to be Game of Thrones, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars.
