Last September Grimmfest announced they would be partnering with The Horror Channel for an event called Horror Legends Season. Horror Legends Season will pay tribute to four iconic artists of horror. The first event was in early February and the last will be in the summer. The events will take place at Stockport Plaza, and will showcase the works of Tobe Hooper, David Cronenberg, John Carpenter and Wes Craven.
David Cronenberg is the second auteur to have his work shown as part of Horror Legends Season. The doors will open at 12:30pm on Sunday 8th March, thirty minutes before the day’s first picture. In total, four films will be showcased throughout the day:
1:00pm: Rabid — A young woman develops a taste for human blood after experimental plastic surgery, and her victims turn into blood-thirsty zombies, leading into a city-wide epidemic.
3:10pm: Videodrome — When he acquires a different kind of show for his station, a sleazy cable-TV programmer begins to see his life and the future of media spin out of control in a terrifying new reality.
5:10pm: The Fly — A brilliant but eccentric scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong.
7:15pm: Crash — After getting into a serious car accident, a TV director discovers an underground subculture of scarred, omnisexual car-crash victims who use car accidents to try to rejuvenate his sex life with his wife.
