‘American Horror Story’ Confirms Kathy Bates and Evan Peters for Season 8
The much anticipated and highly-secretive American Horror Story line-up has been announced for Season 8.
Writer and co-creator of the show, Ryan Murphy, has announced that the greatly missed Kathy Bates who was absent for Season 7 will be a headliner in the new season. Alongside Bates, long-time AHS stars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson will join the headline spots.
Kathy Bates has starred into four seasons so far: AHS: Coven, AHS: Freak Show, AHS: Hotel and AHS: Roanoke. Bates neglected to feature in last year’s season AHS: Cult. She took the season off to focus on a different project, Netflix comedy series Disjointed. The comedy show has since been cancelled and will not continue with another series.
In a recent interview, Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly about the headliners in the new season:
“Kathy and Sarah Paulson have a lot of great stuff to get to do … So, with Evan Peters, the three of them are the leads this year.”
Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have featured in every season of the show so far, and fans would never forgive Ryan Murphy if Peters and Paulson were not on the credits.
In the same interview, Murphy mentioned the rumours about the title of the upcoming season. Social media rumours have claimed Season 8 will be AHS: Radioactive.
Murphy said:
“I heard about that rumor. Well, that’s based on a fact that we’ve cleared a lot of titles for that show. It’s an interesting idea. I can neither confirm nor deny.”
American Horror Story Season 8 will be out in Autumn 2018.
